🪴 Monstera deliciosa 'Albo Variegated' is one of the most recognisable variegated houseplants, combining the iconic fenestrated foliage of Monstera deliciosa with striking areas of white and green variegation. Each leaf develops its own pattern, ranging from marbling and splashes to dramatic sectoral of half-moon variegation, ensuring that no two plants look exactly alike.

The white areas of the foliage contain little to no chlorophyll, creating the spectacular contrast that makes this plant so desirable. However, this also means an Albo benefits from brighter conditions than a standard green Monstera deliciosa and may grow more slowly. Highly variegated leaves are particularly delicate and can be more susceptible to browning or scorching.

☀️ Light: Bright indirect light is ideal for maintaining healthy growth and supporting strongly variegated foliage. Because the white portions of the leaves contain less chlorophyll, Monstera 'Albo Variegated' benefits from brighter conditions than a standard green Monstera deliciosa.

Avoid prolonged harsh sunlight, particularly strong midday and afternoon sun, as the white portions of the leaves are particularly susceptible to scorching.

Aim for approximately 8,000-15,000 Lux of bright, indirect light at leaf level.

💧 Watering: Allow approximately the top third of the substrate to begin drying before watering thoroughly. Keep the substrate evenly moist during active growth, but never continuously wet or waterlogged.

Always allow excess water to drain freely and avoid leaving the plant sitting in water. Reduce watering during cooler, darker months when growth and water consumption naturally slow.

• Provide a moss pole or sturdy climbing support. Supporting the plant's natural climbing habit encourages larger, more mature foliage.
• Keep the leaves clean and monitor regularly for common household pests such as thrips, spider mites and mealybugs.
• The amount of variegation can naturally vary considerably between leaves.
• Highly white leaves contain less photosynthetic tissue and may grow more slowly or brown more readily than leaves containing larger areas of green.
• Adding Nurture System No.10 ArmorX with your general feed can help prevent browning off with variegated leaves.
• Growth may slow considerably during the UK winter. Providing suitable supplementary grow lighting can help maintain more consistent growth.

🪴 Plants are living things, and occasional minor cosmetic marks or changes can happen during transit. This is completely normal and doesn't affect the long-term health of the plant. Some plants may also take a few days − or sometimes a little longer − to adjust after delivery before showing new growth.

📸 We photograph each plant carefully and will always note any visible blemishes within the promotions page or prior to dispatch. Despite careful packing, the shipping process itself can be stressful, and it's normal for plants to need time to acclimate to their new environment once they arrive. During this period, temporary leaf changes or slower growth are to be expected and are nothing to worry about.

⏱️ To ensure fairness, compensation cannot be guaranteed if we are not notified within the 7-day period. We're also unable to offer a guarantee once the plant has been repotted, as we can't account for changes in care or environment beyond this point.

📦 Orders containing plants are dispatched Tuesday to Thursday to ensure they arrive safely. Orders without plants may also be dispatched on Fridays. We aim to dispatch all orders within 1-3 working days.

Priority shipping orders are prioritised for dispatch and will usually be sent the following working day (excluding Fridays for plant orders).

Orders placed Friday to Sunday are prepared on Monday, with plant orders dispatched from Tuesday onwards. (If we are able to fit in any plant order shipments on Monday, we will send you a notification stating dispatch)

Please note that dispatch times may be longer during busy periods or when weather conditions aren't suitable for shipping. We're unable to ship orders on bank holidays.

Each order is packed by hand with care to ensure plants arrive safely.
